The Story Behind
European Touring
Captured in a historic town in Poland using a Panasonic DC-S5, this image is a study in contrast and motion. While I was framing the classic architecture, a Porsche unexpectedly accelerated through the street just as a cyclist crossed the foreground.
Reacting instinctively with a panning technique, I tracked the speed of the sports car. This kept the car’s sleek lines in sharp focus while transforming the cyclist and the historic facade into a dynamic, kinetic blur.
Presented in striking black and white, the print highlights the juxtaposition of modern automotive engineering against classic, robust architecture. It is a raw, energetic piece that brings a distinct sense of speed and cinematic movement to any space.
